Oregon hiking trails - Bachelor Mountain Trail, Central Cascade Range, Linn County

   
  Oregon has plenty of splendid backpacking and hiking trails; one of them being Bachelor Mountain Trail in Linn County. Bachelor Mountain Trail is in a pretty secluded vicinity, and it is a really nice trail. Each backpacking and hiking trail in Oregon is different from the others. Hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these peaks. At Bachelor Mountain Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; winter nights
    come with lows in the 30's to Bachelor Mountain Trail. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures
before you go. The time needed for this hike is roughly 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry trekking, it never gets boring. Hitting the trails is always an enjoyable thing to do, and if you happen to be in Linn County of Oregon, Bachelor Mountain Trail is a perfect local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,497 feet which is about average. Lots of precipitation falls at Bachelor Mountain Trail; December  
is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. This is a region covered with lots of backpacking and hiking trails. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Bachelor Mountain Trail is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. Hiking here in Oregon is a must. Bachelor Mountain Trail is 7.8 miles long it's a mid length trek. Bachelor Mountain Trail is a normal length backcountry hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking and hiking trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There's not much difference in elevation along Bachelor Mountain Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish.

Briefly about the general area:
Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Marion Creek. There's some flowing water nearby, Buck Creek is a stream you can stop at while here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bachelor Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Detroit Lake State Park.
Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Santiam River - North; everyone loves Bruno Meadows. Coming to this river is always a good idea. South Fork Buck Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. There's so much to do here at Bachelor Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a wonderful spot for that.
