You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 9 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The total elevation difference for Arrah Wanna Trail is 3,154 feet which is higher than average. This is one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding region. With its 10 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry hike. Keep in mind that this  
is a long wilderness trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Arrah Wanna Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. While visiting this area in Oregon it's a glorious idea to go hiking too. All the water falling down from the sky makes Arrah Wanna Trail a wet location; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. Here in Oregon backcountry trekking is the wonderful thing to do. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Different parts of Arrah Wanna Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

You can run the rapids of Sandy River in the neighborhood of Arrah Wanna Trail; Welches Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Lymp Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here; Arrah Wanna Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mount Hood Village is a good local campground.
Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Zigzag River, and a wonderful location to camp here at Arrah Wanna Trail is Pioneer Tollgate Campground.
