Alta Lake Trail is too perfect to miss. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Alta Lake Trail has to offer, you can camp at Hemlock Lake Campground; nearby you discover nice places like Snowbrush Gulch. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Alta Lake Trail.
There's so much to do here at Alta Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Upper South Fork Campground is a great place for that, and you should absolutely dedicate some time to Wickiup Meadow if you're here at Alta Lake Trail. This spot, the Southern Cascade Range,
has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Take a little trip to South Fork Wallowa Creek while you're here at Alta Lake Trail, and Crater Lake National Park is a fine place nearby.
