  Hitting the wilderness trails is always a fun thing to do, and Alco Trail in Jackson County, Oregon is an outstanding selection. If you are in Oregon during hiking season you have to go hiking. Here in the glorious state of Oregon trekking is an outstanding idea. Alco Trail is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different
    parts of the trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Alco Trail with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Alco Trail temperatures
dip to the 30's. Sometimes this backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Alco Trail is 12 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. The wilderness hiking trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a very good way to see these peaks. This is a long backcountry hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so it's a magnificent thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.  
Every great outdoors hiking trail in Oregon is stunning in its own way. Alco Trail is a wilderness trail rather far from Medford, but It's always enjoyable to walk here. There are so many trails in this vicinity. Alco Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a magnificent challenge. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,217 feet, and that is about average. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. There are great outdoors hiking trails all over Oregon; one of these is Alco Trail in Jackson County.

Briefly about the general area:
This place is great, just look at all the amusing stuff to do next to Alco Trail. Glide down the rapids of Umpqua River - South in a kayak; if you came for an overnight stay West Fork Trail Creek Mill is a pleasant spot to camp. Yeah, come up here to the Southern Cascade Range for a nice time. Don't forget to take a glorious little spree to Hungry Creek, and a journey to Alco Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Ragsdale Spring.
Why not go to nearby Morine Creek while you're here at Alco Trail, and Oliver Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at during your stay. Bear Mountain RV Park is a perfect campground nearby; there are plenty of folks from Medford here at Alco Trail. Myers Canyon is a pleasant location to take a look at close by, and paddling on Jackson Creek is so much fun.
Be careful coming to the Southern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
