Being 61.2 miles long; it's a long hiking and backpacking trail. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This trail has a total elevation difference of 3,263 feet which is higher than average. This hiking and backpacking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Toiyabe Crest Trail is a two ended trail with two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This backcountry hike should take you about 9.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
