a total elevation difference of 4,043 feet which is a higher than average number. Summit Trail is 28.8 miles long; it's longer than many hiking and backpacking trails. Summit Trail is pretty waterless usually; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain;
July is the month with the least moisture. Summit Trail is very far from the most adjacent full-size settlement, and it is a glorious backpacking trail. There are not too many wilderness hiking trails in this neighborhood. This hiking and backpacking trail goes through some very
different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Backpacking here in Nevada is so much fun. Summit Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding wilderness hiking trail for
experienced backcountry trekkers in great shape. Now, this is roughly a 4.5-day walk, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
Briefly about the general area: A pleasant tour to Tom Basin is a nice way to spend an afternoon, and don't leave Summit Trail
without first paying a visit to Fry Spring. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Summit Trail. Do set aside some time for Buffalo Meadows if you're here at Summit Trail, and unsurprisingly South Fork Cottonwood Creek flows through this area. A great place in
close proximity to Summit Trail is Falls Canyon, and you don't should go far to enjoy Santa Rosa Ranger District. Having a fine time in the Santa Rosa Range is easy. Carex Spring is an inspiring site to stop at during your stay, and there's some flowing water close by, Abel Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay.
