    for experienced backcountry trekkers in nice shape. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Gold Creek Trail is a trail quite far from Elko, but it sure is a a wonderful trail. This is a wilderness trail that
is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Every single Nevada wilderness hiking trail is worth backpacking. Gold Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,797 feet, and that is about average. This wilderness hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. Gold Creek Trail is a location that is reasonably arid regularly; through May this neighborhood sees the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Through the summer months at Gold Creek Trail highs are regularly in the 80's, and through  
summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. During the winter this site gets highs in the 30's while Gold Creek Trail night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Nevada is an excellent place for outdoors people. Some parts of Gold Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 1.5 days normally, so it's a great thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. There are not too many wilderness hiking trails in this vicinity.

You can run the rapids of Bruneau River - West Fork in close proximity to Gold Creek Trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cottonwood Spring. Why not go to close by West Fork Buck Creek while you're here at Gold Creek Trail.
A glorious place next to Gold Creek Trail is Bourne Gulch; while you're here at Gold Creek Trail it's a great idea to go to Bear Creek Meadows. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There's whitewater on Jarbidge River - West Fork for all you adrenaline kick people; during your trip here you'll meet some people from Elko for sure. If you came for an overnight stay Sawmill National Forest Campground is a great place to camp, and Zenobia Spring is an inspiring location to go to while here.
Camping is available at Jarbidge National Forest Campground; don't forget to take a splendid little spree to East Fork Buck Creek.
