Nevada hiking trails - Gold Creek Trail, Elko County

At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry trail has only one
    trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Summertime at Gold Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Gold Creek
Trail through the winter regularly fall into the 0's. Being 11.4 miles long; it's longer than many backpacking and hiking trails. Different parts of this backpacking and hiking trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backpacking and hiking trail. At Gold Creek Trail you don’t see much precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. The length of Gold Creek Trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing  
distance which makes it a nice backpacking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in tremendous shape. No chance of getting bored in Nevada if you like the fresh air. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 1,797 feet which is an average number. There are many perfect backcountry trails in Nevada, and Gold Creek Trail in Elko County is one of them. If you happen to be in Nevada, why not go backpacking, it never gets boring. This walk should take you about 1.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.

It's a brilliant idea to have a look at East Fork Buck Creek, it's near Gold Creek Trail; the fine folks of Elko like to hang out nearby. If you're here at Gold Creek Trail, you could go to West Fork Buck Creek, and Sawmill National Forest Campground is a pleasant campground here.
Near Gold Creek Trail you discover Bourne Gulch which is a tremendous place to have a look at. You can run the rapids of Jarbidge River - West Fork close to Gold Creek Trail, and a short tour to Zenobia Spring is always worthwhile. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Everybody loves Bear Creek Meadows, and camping at Gold Creek Trail is great fun, Jarbidge National Forest Campground is a great local campground.
Bruneau River - West Fork is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Gold Creek Trail; a visit to Gold Creek Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cottonwood Spring.
