Faun Trail is a two ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. The total elevation difference for Faun Trail is 1,942 feet, and that is about average. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Being 23.8 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. Different parts of Faun Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. Now this backpacking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Now, this is roughly a 3.5-day backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
