number of hiking and backpacking trails in this region. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 1,942 feet which is about average. Trekking here in the Scholl Greek Range is the best way to enjoy these highlands. Different parts of Faun Trail are at very different
elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Summer at Faun Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally
in the 30's, and overnight lows at Faun Trail during the wintertime regularly fall into the 10's. With its 23.8 miles of walking distance; it's a long backcountry hiking trail. Now, this is roughly a 3.5-day backcountry walk, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
Briefly
about the general area: Visit South Fork Fitzhugh Creek if you're here at Faun Trail; close by Kalamazoo Summit is a nice site to go. A spree to Faun Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Teapot Spring. A short visit to Fera One Hundred Three is always worthwhile,
and a brilliant site to camp here at Faun Trail is East Creek Campground. Just can't get enough of the Scholl Greek Range. North Fork Muncy Creek is a great place to explore, and Faun Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Kalamazoo Campground and Picnicking Site is a pleasant local campground.
