miles which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced backcountry trekkers looking for a nice challenge.
Briefly about the general area: Do set aside some time for Pine Canyon while you're here at Falls Trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like
North Fork Deer Creek. There's so much to do here at Falls Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Dolomite Campground is a tremendous location for that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Falls Trail has to offer, you can camp at Mary Jane Falls Campground.
That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Falls Trail has it all. A perfect spot to visit right next door to Falls Trail is Trail Canyon; Big Falls is always fun to check out. Not far from Falls Trail you can enjoy the trees of Las Vegas Ranger District; Mary Jane Falls is a lovely place to explore while you're at Falls Trail.
