This is a two-ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This great outdoors trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day backcountry trek, so it's a nice thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Charleston Peak Trail North Loop has a total elevation difference of 2,795 feet, and that is higher than average. Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Now this backcountry trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Being 10.4 miles long; it's longer than many great outdoors trails.
