Hawaii hiking trails - Waipunalei Trail, Hawaii County

   
  If you happen to be in Hawaii, why not go backpacking, it is always a cool thing to do. Trekking in Hawaii is such a perfect thing to do. There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Hawaii, and each one has its own unique beauty. The number of hiking trails in this vicinity is not very high. You should count on this hike taking about 9 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Waipunalei Trail is a quite wet location generally with a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year
    is mostly April, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is June. This is a long wilderness hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Gotta get out of the settlement man, and Waipunalei Trail in Hawaii County, Hawaii is a perfect choice. The
total elevation difference for Waipunalei Trail is 3,314 feet which is higher than average. Waipunalei Trail is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Waipunalei Trail is not very right next door to Hilo at all, but you always have a perfect time when you're backcountry hiking along it. With its 9.6 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many trails. Through the summertime months here at Waipunalei Trail, high temperatures frequently  
get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 70's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Waipunalei Trail tend to be in the 60's. There are so many pleasant backpacking and hiking trails for backpacking in Hawaii, and Waipunalei Trail is one of them, and it's in Hawaii County. This hiking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a nice hiking trail for experienced walkers in wonderful shape. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

You're sure to run into some nice folks from Hilo here; a pleasant site to visit nearby is Alenaio Gulch.
Some nearby water includes Kapili Stream; do schedule some time to visit Nahiwa Point if you have a chance. Take a little tour to Waipunalei Stream if you're here at Waipunalei Trail, and some pleasant nature is available in Manowaialee Forest Reserve.
