Hawaii hiking trails - Naulu Trail, Hawaii County       Backcountry trekking in Hawaii is a wonderful idea. Naulu Trail is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Naulu Trail is a normal length wilderness hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness hiking trail good for the average trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. The time needed for this trek is roughly 3.5 hours, but of course   some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for Naulu Trail is 632 feet, and that is lower than average. The warmest time of the year at Naulu Trail comes with high temperatures in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 60's with temperatures at Naulu Trail dipping down into the 40's during winter nights.
