High   temperatures at Maunaiki Trail during the warm months are in the 50's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Maunaiki Trail through the wintertime commonly plunge into the 30's. Here in Hawaii backcountry trekking is the great thing to do. This trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid backpacking trail for the average person looking for a splendid adventure. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Maunaiki Trail has a total elevation difference of 145 feet which is a lower than average number. A visit to Hawaii is not complete without some backcountry hiking.
