You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Maunaiki Trail in Hawaii County, Hawaii is a brilliant location to go. Maunaiki Trail is a location that is pretty dehydrated generally; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most; June meanwhile is the
    driest month. This walk shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Maunaiki Trail is 3.8 miles long it's a shorter type trek. The trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions
are about the same from start to finish. Every trail in Hawaii has its own unique attractiveness. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. This hiking and backpacking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. This great outdoors hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. High  
temperatures at Maunaiki Trail during the warm months are in the 50's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Maunaiki Trail through the wintertime commonly plunge into the 30's. Here in Hawaii backcountry trekking is the great thing to do. This trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid backpacking trail for the average person looking for a splendid adventure. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Maunaiki Trail has a total elevation difference of 145 feet which is a lower than average number. A visit to Hawaii is not complete without some backcountry hiking.
