Hawaii hiking trails - Maunaiki Trail, Hawaii County

   
  Maunaiki Trail is a backpacking trail rather far from Hilo, but backpacking is such a fun thing to do, and this is a glorious spot to do that. There are so many perfect great outdoors trails for backcountry backpacking in Hawaii, and Maunaiki Trail is one of them, and it's in Hawaii County. There are numerous great outdoors trails in Hawaii, and each one is well worth a backcountry hike. This walk shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Don’t forget to check for any
    current restrictions or closures before you go. Summer at Maunaiki Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 50's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Maunaiki Trail are in
the 30's. Maunaiki Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. With its 3.8 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type hike. Around Maunaiki Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; all through January this region sees the most rain; the driest of the months is June. Maunaiki Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail.
