At Kawailoa Trail during the months of summer   highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 70's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Kawailoa Trail dip into the 60's. This is one of a very small number of wilderness trails in this area. With its 9.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long trail. Kawailoa Trail is not far at all from Honolulu, and if you want to hit the beach, Kokololio Beach is around here. Take a side journey to Kawaiiki Stream, and a short journey to Sacred Falls is always worthwhile. Kawailoa Forest Reserve is a forest close to Kawailoa Trail that you can go to, and on a magnificent day it's a great idea to spend the day at Mahakea Beach.
