The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 8 hours, but you never know stuff   could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Kawaihae-Puu Hue Trail is a normal length great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a magnificent backcountry trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in magnificent shape. As long as you like the fresh air you will like Hawaii. This is one of a very small number of backcountry trails in this neighborhood. This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. Briefly about the general area: A journey to Keanapakulua Falls will fill your spirit with good feelings; a visit to Wawaion Bay is always a perfect idea. Time spent at Kkea Beach right next door to Kawaihae-Puu Hue Trail is always good, and Palapalai Gulch is definitely a great location to explore. This river is so great.
