Kau Desert Trail is a fine local backpacking and hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Kau Desert Trail is
mostly a pretty arid location; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and
fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location.
