Hawaii hiking trails - Kaaha Trail, Hawaii County       While visiting this vicinity in Hawaii it's a nice idea to go backcountry hiking too. Kaaha Trail is a long trip away from Hilo, but it is a perfect wilderness hiking trail. Here in the great state of Hawaii trekking is always a fun thing to do. Kaaha Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for Kaaha Trail is 2,271 feet which is about average. Backcountry hiking trails are great and plentiful in Hawaii, and one of these is Kaaha Trail     in Hawaii County. This trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 6 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is one of many trails in the surrounding vicinity. Now this trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Kaaha Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. This hiking trail is a normal length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a magnificent trail for experienced hikers in nice shape. Summertime at Kaaha Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 50's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Kaaha Trail.   And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. At Kaaha Trail you don’t see much rain; through January this neighborhood sees the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Kaaha Trail in Hawaii County, Hawaii is such a perfect site. With its 6.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. Each trail in Hawaii has something unique to offer.
