In Hawaii you never run out of outdoors fun. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. outdoors trail, Castle Trail in Honolulu County, Hawaii is a really good place to spend some time. Castle Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,794 feet which is a higher than average number. At Castle Trail during the months of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night
sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 70's; night lows in the 60's for Castle Trail. The time needed for this walk is roughly 6.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
Briefly about
the general area: If you came to camp Honolulu Koa Kampground is a pleasant location to do that. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. One of the best things about Castle Trail is its proximity to Kapaka Beach, and there's a magnificent forest called Hauula
Forest Reserve. A journey to nearby Kapaeleele Point is very relaxing, and don't leave Castle Trail without first paying a visit to Sacred Falls. Here at Castle Trail you'll most likely meet some folks from Honolulu; some of the water nearby flows, like Punaluu Stream. Be careful
coming to Castle Trail, you might not ever want to go back home again. Beaches are perfect; and Kaluanui Beach in the neighborhood of Castle Trail is no exception; needless to say, A visit to Punaiki Gulch is always fun. Kaluanui Stream is a tremendous place to stop by It's always good to visit Waihoi Springs.
