California hiking trails - Willow Trail, Klamath Mountains, Trinity County

   
  Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the fresh air a bit, and Willow Trail in Trinity County, California is just what you need. There are wilderness trails all over California, and one of these is Willow Trail in Trinity County. A long trip divides Ukiah from Willow Trail, but when you backcountry walk it you're always having a tremendous time. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 1,081 feet, and that is about average. Backcountry trekking here in California is a glorious idea. At Willow Trail throughout the
    warm months highs are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Willow Trail fall into the 30's. Sometimes this trail gets really
dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 9 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. With its 10 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. Willow Trail is a one trailhead great outdoors trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Willow Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail great for hard core backpackers  
looking for adventure. These hiking and backpacking trails here in the Klamath Mountains are a wonderful way to explore these summits. Backcountry trekking here in California is a must. Willow Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. Every wilderness trail in California is well worth a backcountry walk. This is a vicinity covered with lots of backcountry hiking trails. From a rain point of view Willow Trail is a relatively common spot; most of the rain falls throughout January, and July on the other hand is the driest. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is a trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

So much cool stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too good to be true. Willow Creek flows through this vicinity, and close by you hit upon Ant Point. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Willow Trail. Don’t forget to stop by Clarks Basin while you're here at Willow Trail, and do put some time aside to spend at Waterspout if you're here at Willow Trail.
There's so much to do here at Willow Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Hammerhorn Campground is a fine spot for that, and Wrights Valley is a fine place to spend some time. All year is a delightful time in the Klamath Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Soar down the rapids of Eel River - North Fork in a kayak. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Willow Trail has to offer, you can camp at Pine Root Spring Campground.
Get dripping wet paddling on Mad River It's always good to stop at Water Spout Spring. Yellowjacket Creek is a stream that you may come across during your stay, and a magnificent place like Pfeiffer Flat here at Willow Trail is too glorious to miss.
