California hiking trails - West Ridge Trail, Coast Ranges, Humboldt County

   
  When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? if you happen to be in Humboldt County of California, West Ridge Trail is a fine local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. When you're here in California backcountry backpacking along one of its backpacking trails is a splendid way to spend some time. Every backpacking trail in California is scenic in its own way. With its 7.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry trek. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of backpacking trails. For the duration of the warm months at
    West Ridge Trail highs are ordinarily in the 60's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at West Ridge Trail are in the 30's. Now this wilderness trail is pretty long, so don't forget to
pack enough supplies. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Outdoors people generally like this part of California. There are so many good backpacking trails for backcountry backpacking in California; West Ridge Trail in Humboldt County is one of them. The length of West Ridge Trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful backpacking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in fine shape. West Ridge Trail gets a lot of water; December  
is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 651 feet which is lower than average. West Ridge Trail is a hiking trail pretty far from Crescent City North, but you always have a fine time when you're backpacking along it. The backpacking and hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. These backpacking trails here in the Coast Ranges are a perfect way to explore these summits. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backpacking and hiking trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Briefly about the general area:
Having a great time at West Ridge Trail is painless. This is a popular place for people from Crescent City North. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Klamath River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything West Ridge Trail has to offer, you can camp at Klamath Glen Resort.
Take a little journey to Godwood Creek since you're here at West Ridge Trail, and Gold Bluffs Beach is a beautiful beach to visit. Brown Creek is in close proximity to West Ridge Trail and is always a bliss to stop by, and you can stay the night at Klamath River RV Park. If you come at the right time of year, Redwood Creek offers some fine whitewater, and West Ridge Trail is right next door to Fern Canyon which is without doubt worth visiting.
