California hiking trails - West Ridge Trail, Coast Ranges, Humboldt County

   
  California is a perfect outdoors state. Every backcountry hiking trail in California is well worth a trek. Put on your hiking shoes, and hit the wilderness trail, West Ridge Trail in Humboldt County, California is such a nice place. Being 7.8 miles long it's a mid length walk. During the summertime months highs here at West Ridge Trail reach the 60's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; overnight lows at West Ridge Trail through the winter generally fall into the 30's. There are so many good backcountry
    hiking trails for backcountry hiking in California; one of them being West Ridge Trail in Humboldt County. If you happen to be in California, why not go backcountry hiking, it is a brilliant way to spend some time. This is a long wilderness hiking trail, so make sure you bring
plenty of supplies. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. West Ridge Trail gets a large amount of water; during December this neighborhood sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. You should count on this trek taking about 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for West Ridge Trail is 651 feet, and that is lower than average. There's not much difference in elevation along West Ridge Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the  
whole great outdoors trail. West Ridge Trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this region. This hiking and backpacking trail is a mid length hiking and backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for a nice challenge. West Ridge Trail is positioned a relatively long tour from Crescent City North, but there's great natural beauty awaiting you here along it. The picturesque hiking and backpacking trails of the Coast Ranges are a really fine way to spend quality time in the wilderness. This wilderness hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.

Briefly about the general area:
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Coast Ranges. Beaches are nice; and Gold Bluffs Beach near West Ridge Trail is no exception. There's so much to do here at West Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Klamath River RV Park is a wonderful place for that. Brown Creek is next to West Ridge Trail and is always a joy to visit, and West Ridge Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Klamath Glen Resort is a brilliant local campground.
So much fun stuff near West Ridge Trail, clearly incredible. Get dripping wet paddling on Klamath River. You'll meet a lot of folks from Crescent City North here; whitewater paddling is great on Redwood Creek. Some nearby water includes Godwood Creek, and if you feel like a little side visit, try Fern Canyon.
