lows at West Point Trail through the wintertime mostly descend into the 30's. You'll have to go far from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont to get to West Point Trail, but many folks like to walk here to be near the wilderness. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures
before you go. The high level of rain makes West Point Trail a rather wet site; the month with most of the rain is January, and July meanwhile is the driest month. West Point Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,740 feet which is an average number.

general area:
East Fork Fern Creek is a lovely stream that is worth checking out, and Muir Woods National Monument is a pleasant local destination. Stay the night at Laurel Dell Campground.
Having a pleasant time at West Point Trail is easy. On a good day it's a great idea
to spend the day at Muir Beach, and why not a little side spree to Bootjack Creek. Hit the beach if you want, Red Rock Beach is practically right here, and Cascade Dam is not far at all from West Point Trail. You don't have to go far from West Point Trail to enjoy Cathedral Grove,
and everyone loves Van Wyck Meadow.
People from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont love to come to West Point Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything West Point Trail has to offer, you can camp at Haypress Campground.
