Finally, backcountry backpacking time is here again, and Warren Lake Trail in Nevada County, California is a really good location to spend some time. When you're here in California backcountry trekking along one of its backcountry hiking trails never gets boring.

The length of Warren Lake Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness trail perfect for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. amount of precipitation. This part of California is always a diversion to visit during backcountry trekking season. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Warren Lake Trail. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. For the period of the
wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Warren Lake Trail during the wintertime frequently plunge into the 20's. This is a vicinity covered with lots of wilderness trails. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.
This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Warren Lake Trail is to be found a pretty long drive from Truckee-Grass Valley, but many folks like to backcountry walk here to be near
the outdoors. There are backcountry hiking trails all over California, and Warren Lake Trail is one of them, and it's in Nevada County. Warren Lake Trail is 13.2 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. Warren Lake Trail goes through some very different elevations,
so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Warren Lake Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Backcountry backpacking here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a nice way to explore these mountains. Of course, this is
an overnight backcountry hike, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. The total elevation difference for Warren Lake Trail is 2,381 feet, and that is about average.
Briefly about the general area: Coon Canyon is a good place to visit
nearby; of course Upper Castle Creek flows through this region. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Fordyce Creek. This site, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Van Norden Campground
is a nice local campground, and a spree to Burnt Flat rejuvenates the spirit. Independence Lake Campground is a good campground nearby, and Round Valley is a pleasant place to check out. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and a quick tour to Upper Independence Creek is definitely a good idea.
