Upper Winter Creek Trail is a two ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. This is a wilderness hiking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. With its 9.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long wilderness hiking trail. This wilderness hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Upper Winter Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,976 feet, and that is higher than average.
