There are backcountry trails all over California, and Tunnel Trail is one of them, and it's in Santa Barbara County. With its 3 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type trek. This walk shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. During the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Tunnel Trail. in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Tunnel Trail dip into the 30's. Tunnel Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so
don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking and backpacking trail which means the conditions are about the
same from start to finish. Every backcountry trail in California is gorgeous in its own way. If you happen to be in California, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is something that is always fun to do. The total elevation difference for Tunnel Trail is 1,150 feet which is an

need to camp here for a while, Santa Barbara County Park Dept is a delightful spot for that. One of the best things about Tunnel Trail is its proximity to West Beach, and Tunnel Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ocean Mesa Campground is a good local campground.
During your stay at Tunnel Trail do take a look at nearby East Beach. If you're here, you might as well check out Angostura Pass, and lots of folks from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta come here.
