There are plenty of backcountry trails in California; each one of them has something unique to offer. Going for a backcountry walk here in California is so much fun. California has plenty of great backcountry trails; The Caracole in Santa Barbara County is one of them. There are so many backpacking trails in this neighborhood. At The Caracole you don’t see much rainfall; February is the month that gets the most rain, and the
    driest of the months is July. The Caracole is 6.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. Can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors, The Caracole in Santa Barbara County, California is just what you need. Summertime highs at The Caracole commonly tend to be in the 90's,
and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 60's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for The Caracole tend to be in the 30's. Backpacking here in the Sierra Madre is a very perfect way to see these summits. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. The length of The Caracole is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious backpacking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in pleasant shape. You spend the  
whole backcountry walk in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The time needed for this trek is roughly 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a long great outdoors trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The Caracole has a total elevation difference of 1,274 feet which is an average number. Outdoors folks generally like this part of California.

If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sierra Madre. The Narrows is in the neighborhood of The Caracole and is a fine spot, and a wonderful place to camp here at The Caracole is Dutch Oven Campground.
