  Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the outdoors a bit, and Sweetwater Trail in Santa Barbara County, California is just the place. It's a lengthy journey from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta to Sweetwater Trail, but it is a wonderful backcountry hiking trail. Backcountry hiking in California is such a splendid thing to do. Now this backpacking and hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.
    This is a one trailhead great outdoors hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out walk. This is a vicinity covered with lots of backcountry hiking trails. These backcountry trails here in the Sierra Madre are a really glorious way to spend quality time in the great outdoors.
Sweetwater Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,070 feet, and that is higher than average. With its 12.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer trek. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Sweetwater Trail, high temperatures typically get into the 90's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sweetwater Trail dip into the 30's. This backcountry trek should take you about 2 days, so it's a magnificent thing if your backpack is big  
enough to do the job. Not much precipitation falls here at Sweetwater Trail; most of the rain falls through February, and the driest of the months is July. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Different parts of Sweetwater Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backpacking trail. Each wilderness hiking trail in California has something unique to offer. Going for a backcountry trek here in California is something that is always fun to do. This backcountry trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an excellent backcountry hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in delightful shape.

Briefly about the general area:
A splendid place to camp here at Sweetwater Trail is Painted Rock Campground; Cliff Canyon is a wonderful place to spend some time. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Sierra Madre will keep you coming back many times. Looking for some flowing water? Try South Fork Sisquoc River, and a short tour to Little Sulphur Spring is always worthwhile.
Camping is available at Skunk Campground; while you're here at Sweetwater Trail it's a great idea to check out Pine Corral Potreros. James Spring is always fun to check out, and a pleasant trip to Montgomery Potrero is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. This place, Sweetwater Trail, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff.
