California hiking trails - Steamboat Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Placer County       If you happen to be in California, why not go backcountry hiking, it is so much fun. Great backpacking trails in California are in abundance; Steamboat Trail is one of them, and it's in Placer County. Steamboat Trail is positioned a rather lengthy drive from Truckee-Grass Valley, but if you're looking for a magnificent location to go backpacking, this is a magnificent selection. With its 11.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer hike. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. All the water falling down from     the sky makes Steamboat Trail a wet location; most of the rain falls throughout January, and July meanwhile is the driest month. The total elevation difference for Steamboat Trail is 2,686 feet which is higher than average. Steamboat Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced walkers looking for a great challenge. Every backpacking trail in California is well worth a backcountry walk. For the period of the summertime months here at Steamboat Trail, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Steamboat Trail. Different parts of Steamboat Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of   the backpacking and hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Steamboat Trail in Placer County, California is just the location. This is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out walk. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry walk, 1.5 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. This part of California has a perfect deal of available outdoors pursuits. These trails here in the Northern Sierra Nevada are a very magnificent way to see these peaks. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Briefly about the general area: Looking for some flowing water? Try Five Lakes Creek, and a splendid place like Upper Hell Hole here at Steamboat Trail is too tremendous to miss. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Steamboat Trail has it all. Talbot Campground is a good local campground, and hey, Buckskin Creek is a magnificent local stream. All year is a magnificent time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Don’t forget to check out Buck Meadow while you're here at Steamboat Trail, and Hunters Spring is always fun to check out. So many fun things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too splendid to be true. Steamboat Trail is right next door to Steamboat Canyon which is undeniably worth a visit, and Big Rock Spring is a wonderful place to visit while you're at Steamboat Trail. Yuba River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot close to Steamboat Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Hell Hole-In Campground is a good place to camp.
