California hiking trails - South Fork Trail, Santa Rosa Mountains, Riverside County

   
  South Fork Trail is a long journey away from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, but it is a brilliant hiking and backpacking trail. In California you never run out of outdoors fun. go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Going for a trek here in California is a magnificent way to spend some time. You spend the whole backcountry walk in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail. Being 7.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. South Fork Trail is a mid-length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. This is a long great outdoors trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. For the duration of the summertime at South Fork Trail highs are frequently in the 90's; the overnight is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's; overnight lows during the winter for South Fork Trail tend to be in the 30's.

These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Take a side tour to Strawberry Creek, and nearby Willow Valley is a delightful spot to go. South Fork Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Maranatha is a great local campground; Rattlesnake Spring is an inspiring place to have a look at while here.
South Fork Trail really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. A great spot to camp here at South Fork Trail is Stone Creek Campground; the great folks of Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario like to hang out nearby. Coldwater Creek is a great local stream; everyone loves Alvin Meadows. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Milky Spring, and Blodgett Flat is a splendid location.
You just must go for the Santa Rosa Mountains.
