California hiking trails - Slide Point Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Placer County

Slide Point Trail is a long tour away from Truckee-Grass Valley, but you always have a glorious time when you're trekking along it. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Slide Point Trail is not that long but it's always delightful to bring some emergency supplies,
    you never know what could happen. During the summer highs here at Slide Point Trail get into the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Slide Point Trail. There are so many great
outdoors trails in this vicinity. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and Slide Point Trail in Placer County, California is a glorious spot for getting out. Slide Point Trail is 2.4 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk. Slide Point Trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors trail glorious for the average trekker looking for a fun adventure. This walk shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.  
The total elevation difference for Slide Point Trail is 1,512 feet which is about average. Slide Point Trail mostly gets lots of rain; through January this region sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There are many splendid great outdoors hiking trails in California, and among these are Slide Point Trail in Placer County. As long as you like the great outdoors you will like California. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. The striking wilderness hiking trails of the Northern Sierra Nevada are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops.

You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Why not camp at Sunset Campground since you're here at Slide Point Trail. Camping is available at Vista Overflow Campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rubicon River.
