The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 1,512 feet, and that is about average. Slide Point Trail is not that long but it's always splendid to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. You should count on this trek taking about 2 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. Slide Point Trail is 2.4 miles long it's shorter than many hiking trails. Slide Point Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail.
