California hiking trails - Slide Point Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Placer County

Slide Point Trail is a long tour away from Truckee-Grass Valley, but there's wonderful natural attractiveness right here for you along it. Gotta get out of the city man, and Slide Point Trail in Placer County, California is a good spot to go. Slide Point Trail is a pretty wet location usually with a great deal of rain; January is when you get the most rain here  
while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Slide Point Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. Slide Point Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,512 feet, and that is about average. Trails for backcountry hiking, and backpacking can be found all over California; one of them being Slide Point Trail in Placer County. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The hiking trails of the Northern Sierra Nevada are a glorious way to explore these peaks. Backcountry backpacking in California is always a fun thing to do. During the months of summer at Slide Point Trail highs are mostly in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. For the period of the winter this location gets highs in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Slide Point Trail temperatures drop to the 30's.

Slide Point Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Campground is a great local campground, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Rubicon River.
