Throughout the winter highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sheep Creek Trail are in the 20's. This is one of a very small number of trails in this area. Trail; a splendid place to camp here at Sheep Creek Trail is Sentinel Campground. Horse Corral Meadow is a splendid place, and Kings River - Middle Fork is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Sheep Creek Trail.
In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kaweah River - Middle Fork; some of the water nearby flows, like Lightning Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Nearby Marvin Pass is a great place to go if you're at Sheep Creek Trail, and getting to Deer Cove Creek from Sheep Creek Trail is simple.
