Sur River offers some nice whitewater. There's so much to do here at San Clemente Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rattlesnake Campground is a good spot for that. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Santa Lucia Range. Some magnificent nature is available in Big Pines, and you'll most likely meet some people from Salinas here.
