is a great local campground, and there's some flowing water close by, Black Rock Creek is a stream you can have a look at while here.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Carmel River, and Sleepy Hollow is a good spot to check out. If you come at the right time of year, Little
Sur River offers some nice whitewater. There's so much to do here at San Clemente Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rattlesnake Campground is a good spot for that. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Santa Lucia Range. Some magnificent nature is available in Big Pines, and you'll most likely meet some people from Salinas here.
