Salmon Lake Trail is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry hike. The total elevation difference for this wilderness trail is 330 feet, and that is lower than average. Even though this is not a very long trail it's always magnificent to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Salmon Lake Trail is 3.6 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk. This walk shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. You spend the whole backcountry walk in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry walk. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.
