hills. It's a long tour from Truckee-Grass Valley to Sailor Flat Trail, but it is a tremendous escape from the city. Sailor Flat Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
The total elevation difference for this great outdoors hiking trail is 2,534 feet which is a higher than average number. Being 7.6 miles long it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. This hiking trail
is a mid length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking and hiking trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a tremendous challenge. This is a long trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Don’t forget to
check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.

Don't forget to take a magnificent little tour to Royal Gorge River, and Tadpole Spring is a great local attraction. This place rocks, just look at all the amusing things to
do right next door to Sailor Flat Trail. Camping at Robinsons Flat Campground is always a delightful experience, and Yuba River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby.
Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a great time. Sailor Meadow is a fine site here
at Sailor Flat Trail, and do explore Little Granite Creek since you're here at Sailor Flat Trail. If you fancy a little side visit, try Sailor Canyon, and camping is available at Tadpole Campground. Everybody loves Oak Flat, and you can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork.
Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. This is a popular place for folks from Truckee-Grass Valley.
