There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's; overnight lows at Rose Lion Trail during the wintertime frequently descend into the 30's. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do
check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This trek should take you about 1.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This is one of many trails in the surrounding area. Different parts of this backpacking

Yeah, come here to Rose Lion Trail for a pleasant time. Why not visit close by Trout Creek since you're here at Rose Lion Trail, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Sespe Creek. And
that's not all you can do here in the Sierra Madre. People from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura love to come to Rose Lion Trail.
A great spot to stop at near Rose Lion Trail is Lion Canyon, and Middle Lion Campground is a glorious campground nearby. So much cool stuff in the
Sierra Madre, just mind-boggling. Rose Valley Falls is a good local attraction, and Rose Valley Campground is a pleasant local campground. Wilsie Spring is a scenic spot to take a look at while you're at Rose Lion Trail; Sisar Pasture is a fine location here at Rose Lion Trail.
Don't forget to take a delightful little trip to Piedra Blanca Creek, and a spree to Channel Islands National Park is recommended.
