California hiking trails - Reed Reef Trail, Sierra Madre, Ventura County

    of the wilderness hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Reed Reef Trail is a very long great outdoors hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail delightful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.
There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With so many outdoors activities available in California you'll never get bored. If you happen to be in California, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is something that is always fun to do. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 4,276 feet which is a higher than average number. It's a long tour from  
Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura to Reed Reef Trail, but what an outstanding location for hiking it is. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. For the period of the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 90's at Reed Reef Trail. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and nighttime lows at Reed Reef Trail through the wintertime regularly descend into the 30's. Reed Reef Trail is 21 miles long; it's a long wilderness hiking trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Reed Reef Trail; the month with most of the rain is February, and July is when it's the driest. There are so many great outdoors trails in this area. The great outdoors hiking trails of the Sierra Madre are a really great way to spend quality time in the great outdoors.

Briefly about the general area:
If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Sierra Madre. While you're here at Reed Reef Trail it's a tremendous idea to take a look at Oak Flat, and a wonderful place nearby is Red Reef Canyon. Camping at Thatcher Campground is always a tremendous experience, and a pleasant journey to Ten Sycamore Flat is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
Not far from Reed Reef Trail you can enjoy the trees of Kenney Groye, and Reed Reef Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Flat Campground is a good local campground. Put some time aside to spend at Willett Hot Springs while you're here at Reed Reef Trail, and obviously Sycamore Creek is a lovely stream that is worth going to. Reed Reef Trail truly is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. If you come at the right time of year, Sespe Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and Willett Hot Springs is always fun to check out.
This location, the Sierra Madre, has so much outdoors exciting things. Take a side tour to Timber Creek, and at Reed Reef Trail you always meet someone from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura.
