This is a two-ended backcountry trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The time needed for this hike is roughly 2.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With its 3.2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type walk. Rattlesnake Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. This is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail but it's always magnificent to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 207 feet which is lower than average.
