California hiking trails - Rattlesnake Creek Trail, Santa Lucia Range, Monterey County

   
  When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? if you happen to be in Monterey County of California, Rattlesnake Creek Trail is a magnificent local wilderness trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. While visiting this neighborhood in California it's a good idea to go backcountry hiking too. There are backcountry hiking trails all over California, and one of those is Rattlesnake Creek Trail in Monterey County. There's not much difference in elevation along Rattlesnake Creek Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole trail. This walk
    shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding area. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last
the whole trip. Backcountry trekking in California never gets boring. Rattlesnake Creek Trail gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through January; July is the month with the least moisture. Trekking here in the Santa Lucia Range is a very good way to see these mountains. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Rattlesnake Creek Trail is a one trailhead backcountry trail, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. The total elevation difference for this backcountry  
trail is 1,350 feet which is an average number. Rattlesnake Creek Trail is not very in close proximity to Salinas at all, but backpacking along this wilderness trail is very cool. Rattlesnake Creek Trail is 7 miles long it's an average length trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Rattlesnake Creek Trail is a mid-length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough great outdoors trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a glorious challenge. For the period of the summertime months at Rattlesnake Creek Trail highs are frequently in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the winter this spot gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Rattlesnake Creek Trail. Each one of the many backcountry hiking trails of California is pretty in its own way.

Briefly about the general area:
A trip to Sulphur Spring will fill your soul with great feelings, and there's some flowing water close by, Danish Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Carmel River, and why not visit Los Padres Dam if you're here.
But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Santa Lucia Range. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are really plentiful here at Rattlesnake Creek Trail. The cheerful folks of Salinas like to hang out nearby, and Rattlesnake Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. Big Sur River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and unsurprisingly Rattlesnake Creek flows through this neighborhood.
Having a good time in the Santa Lucia Range is easy. Rattlesnake Creek Trail is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Tin House Campground is a pleasant place to camp nearby, and if you fancy a little side journey, try Miller Canyon.
