California hiking trails - Ramona Trail, Santa Rosa Mountains, Riverside County

   
  Good hiking trails in California are in abundance, and Ramona Trail is one of them, and it's in Riverside County. Ramona Trail is to be found a rather long drive from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, but when you spend some time backcountry hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Trekking here in California is the great thing to do. Hiking and backpacking trails like this one here in the Santa Rosa Mountains are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. This is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency
    supplies just in case something happens. Finally, backcountry hiking time is here again, and Ramona Trail in Riverside County, California is such a brilliant location. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. At Ramona Trail during the summer months
highs are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's, and overnight lows at Ramona Trail during the winter mostly plunge into the 30's. No chance of getting bored in California if you like the great outdoors. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. There are plenty of hiking trails in California; each one of them has its own character. This is just one of a large  
number of great outdoors trails in this area. This walk shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Around Ramona Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is June. Ramona Trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding great outdoors trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure. Ramona Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,792 feet which is about average. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Ramona Trail is 3.2 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk.

A short spree to Magee Spring is always worthwhile; you'll meet a lot of folks from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario here. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Ramona Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Tool Box Spring Campground is a fine local campground; Tool Box Spring is a wonderful site to check out while you're at Ramona Trail.
Camping at Ramona Campground is always a delightful experience.
