California hiking trails - Pohono Trail, Central Sierra Nevada, Mariposa County

   
  No chance of getting bored in California if you like the wilderness. There are wilderness trails all over California, and Pohono Trail in Mariposa County is one of them. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the fresh air a bit, and Pohono Trail in Mariposa County, California is an outstanding location to go. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Being 22.8 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails.
    A long tour parts Madera from Pohono Trail, but when you backcountry hike it you're always having an outstanding time. The total elevation difference for Pohono Trail is 3,527 feet which is a higher than average number. There are numerous wilderness trails in California, and each
one has its own character. This walk should take you about 3.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Backcountry hiking in California is the good thing to do. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Pohono Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. All through the summer highs here at Pohono Trail get into the 80's while night lows are commonly  
in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows all through the winter for Pohono Trail tend to be in the 20's. The hiking trails of the Central Sierra Nevada are the best way to enjoy these hills. Pohono Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced hikers looking for a wonderful challenge. There are so many hiking and backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Pohono Trail commonly gets a good deal of rain; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Some parts of this wilderness hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness hiking trail.

Briefly about the general area:
If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yosemite Creek, and do set aside some time for Bridalveil Meadow since you're here at Pohono Trail.
All year is a pleasant time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you like the outdoors. Glide down the rapids of Merced River in a kayak, and getting to Artist Creek from Pohono Trail is trouble-free. Cascade Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and a journey to Silver Strand Falls will fill your spirit with great feelings. There's so much to do here at Pohono Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Bridalveil Campground is a pleasant site for that, and some close by water includes Meadow Brook.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. Pohono Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Indian Flat RV Park is a delightful local campground, and a brilliant spot to explore is Yosemite Valley. It's always perfect to check out Fern Spring, and some good nature is available in Tuolumne Grove. A pleasant spree to Summit Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon, and popping by Yosemite National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
