This trail has a total elevation difference of 1,278 feet which is about average. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 4.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Pine Creek Trail is a two ended trail with two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 5.4 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backpacking and hiking trail. This backpacking and hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.
