for doing a bit of leg stretching. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Pilot Ridge Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.

Briefly about the general area: Why not camp at Blake Spring Campground since you're here at Pilot Ridge Trail,
and there's some flowing water nearby, Guy Creek is a stream you can stop at while here. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Pilot Ridge Trail. Slide Creek Campground is a nice local campground, and a glorious location for whitewater paddling is Mad River.
Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Trinity River - South Fork, and Holm Creek is in the neighborhood of Pilot Ridge Trail and is always a joy to go to. A spree to Pilot Ridge Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Poison Spring, and Filaree Flat is
a nice spot here at Pilot Ridge Trail. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Coast Ranges. A short visit to Cold Spring is always worthwhile; a nice place like Severin Openings here at Pilot Ridge Trail is too great to miss. This location, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Pilot Ridge Trail is not far at all from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna.
