This hike shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Every California wilderness trail is delightful in its own way. Pie Canyon Trail is 7.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. The total elevation difference for Pie Canyon Trail is 1,780 feet, and that is about average. The wilderness trails of the Sierra Madre are a really perfect way to spend quality time in nature. Backcountry backpacking in California never gets boring.

Yeah, come up here to the Sierra Madre for a fine time. Gidney Flat is a delightful place to check out, and as expected Buckhorn Creek is a pretty stream that is worth checking out. Pie Canyon Trail is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Lower Buckhorn Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby; you might also want to pay a visit to Pie Canyon while you're here at Pie Canyon Trail.
