The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while Pat Keyes Trail overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. Joe Campground is always a good experience. Some of the water close by flows, like North Fork Willow Creek, and Pat Keyes Spring is an inspiring spot to pop by while here. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Pat Keyes Trail. Getting to Union Wash from Pat Keyes Trail is easy, and Eclipse Canyon is another great place to stop at close by.
