    trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The time needed for this hike is roughly 8 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Oak Spring Trail is 8.8 miles long it's an average length backcountry trail. Rather far from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa
Ana you come upon Oak Spring Trail, but trekking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a nice spot to do that. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Oak Spring Trail is a mid-length backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors hiking trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Here in California hiking never gets boring. The total elevation difference for Oak Spring Trail is 2,140 feet which  
is about average. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backcountry trail could be very different from other parts of it. Throughout the summer here at Oak Spring Trail, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Oak Spring Trail. Around Oak Spring Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly February, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. Hiking here in the San Gabriel Mountains is a really fine way to spend quality time in the wilderness. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is plentiful here in the San Gabriel Mountains. A delightful site to camp here at Oak Spring Trail is Dutch Louie Campground. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Center Creek is next to Oak Spring Trail and is always a bliss to take a look at, and Fascination Spring is a magnificent local attraction.
Alder Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and Oak Spring Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Honeybee Campground is a fine local campground. A journey to Haines Debris Basin revitalizes the spirit; while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Gabriel Mountains. A good place to explore right next door to Oak Spring Trail is Boulder Canyon; do put some time aside to spend at Oak Spring if you're here at Oak Spring Trail.
Dagger Flat is a splendid spot to check out, and nearby you discover Bisker.
