California hiking trails - Oak Spring Trail, San Gabriel Mountains, Los Angeles County

   
  Good hiking and backpacking trails in California are in abundance, and one of those is Oak Spring Trail in Los Angeles County. California has lots of outdoors pursuits. Oak Spring Trail is located a quite lengthy journey from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, but it is an exciting place to backcountry trek. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Oak Spring
    Trail is 8.8 miles long it's a mid length trek. This hike shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are numerous hiking and backpacking trails in California, and each one is different from the
others. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Oak Spring Trail get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the wintertime this site gets highs in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Oak Spring Trail. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Oak Spring Trail in Los Angeles County, California is just what you need. At Oak Spring Trail you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year February is the one with the most rain, and the driest  
month is July. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,140 feet which is about average. This is just one of a large number of backpacking and hiking trails in this area. The scenic wilderness trails of the San Gabriel Mountains are the best way to enjoy these peaks. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Different parts of Oak Spring Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness hiking trail. Oak Spring Trail is a mid-length wilderness trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking and hiking trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. When you're here in California backpacking along one of its hiking and backpacking trails is something that is always fun to do.

Briefly about the general area:
There are plenty of folks from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana here at Oak Spring Trail, and getting to Alder Creek from Oak Spring Trail is uncomplicated. Bisker is around here and always wonderful to go to, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Center Creek.
There's no way anybody can get bored here in the San Gabriel Mountains. Boulder Canyon is a brilliant location to visit nearby. A pleasant trip to Dagger Flat is a splendid way to spend an afternoon, and Oak Spring Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Dutch Louie Campground is a splendid local campground. So much exciting stuff to do in the San Gabriel Mountains, not enough time. There's so much to do here at Oak Spring Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Honeybee Campground is a pleasant place for that; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Fascination Spring.
That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Oak Spring Trail has it all. Oak Spring is an inspiring location to take a look at while you're here, and Haines Debris Basin is a stunning location any time of year.
