High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's; nighttime lows through the winter for Mumford Bar Trail tend to be in the 30's. Mumford Bar Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. of 3,289 feet which is higher than average. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 9 hours, but of
course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding region. With its 10.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many wilderness trails. Mumford Bar Trail

miles which makes this a very tough great outdoors trail for advanced hikers looking for a splendid challenge.
Briefly about the general area: There's some flowing water nearby, Andrew Gray Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here; you're sure to run into
some nice folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here. Having a good time at Mumford Bar Trail is painless. Dawson Spring is an inspiring location to pop by while here, and since you're here you should have a look at Ford Point. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada.
There's so much to do here at Mumford Bar Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Thousand Trails is a glorious location for that; a short visit to Government Spring is always worthwhile. Mears Meadow is right here at Mumford Bar Trail; there's whitewater on Yuba River -
South Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mumford Bar Trail has to offer, you can camp at Secret House Campground; whitewater paddling is not
for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend American River - North Fork. Indian Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; a great spot nearby is Mumford Bar.
