California hiking trails - Monte Rio Fire Trail, Coast Ranges, Sonoma County

   
  You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Monte Rio Fire Trail in Sonoma County, California is a brilliant selection. No chance of getting bored in California if you like nature. This hike shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 991 feet, and that is lower than average. There's not much difference  
in elevation along the wilderness trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. The length of Monte Rio Fire Trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a perfect wilderness trail for the average person looking for a perfect adventure. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Every hiking and backpacking trail in California is striking in its own way. High temperatures at Monte Rio Fire Trail through the summer months are in the 60's with night lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Monte Rio Fire Trail are in the 40's. Backcountry trails are tremendous and plentiful in California, and one of those is Monte Rio Fire Trail in Sonoma County.

Stay the night at Casini Ranch Family Campground; at Monte Rio Fire Trail you always meet someone from Santa Rosa-Petaluma. This site, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors entertaining things. If you're here, you might as well stop at Schoolhouse Gulch.
If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Coast Ranges. On a lovely day you can stop by Gleason Beach in the vicinity of Monte Rio Fire Trail; Rien's Beach is a perfect campground here. Take a side tour to Smith Creek; Freezeout Flat is right here at Monte Rio Fire Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. The trees of Bohemian Grove are a great source of shade on hot summer days; a journey to Portugese Beach is always a pleasant idea.
It's always pleasant to pop by Fern Spring, and hey, Dutch Bill Creek is a good local stream.
