The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 1,329 feet which is about average. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. The time needed for this walk is roughly 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This backpacking and hiking trail has two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Being 6.4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. Miller Canyon Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.
