California hiking trails - Meadow Trail, Marin County

   
  Here in the glorious state of California trekking never gets boring. There are many glorious hiking trails in California; Meadow Trail in Marin County is one of them. Every single California hiking trail has its own unique loveliness. With so many outdoors things to do available in California you'll never get bored. This trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Meadow Trail generally gets a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly January,
    that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. This is not a very long trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness hiking trail, so you get pretty much
the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. Meadow Trail is 3.8 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry trek. The total elevation difference for this backpacking trail is 1,122 feet which is an average number. This is one of many backpacking trails in the surrounding region. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Meadow Trail. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the  
40's. All through the wintertime this site gets highs in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Meadow Trail temperatures plunge to the 30's. Meadow Trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail brilliant for the average trekker looking for a cool adventure. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Meadow Trail is a long journey away from Santa Rosa-Petaluma, but it is an enjoyable spot to backcountry walk. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Marin County of California, Meadow Trail is a perfect local backcountry hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Meadow Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Olema Ranch Campgrounds is a magnificent place for that, and Kelham Beach is a scenic beach to go to. Not far from Meadow Trail you obtain some good water scenery at Rogers Dam, and if time allows, Point Reyes National Seashore is a national park worth a visit.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Meadow Trail has to offer, you can camp at Sky Campground. Places like Divide Meadow are perfect to explore; you have to unquestionably take a look at striking Sculptured Beach since you're here.
