If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork. It's a brilliant idea to pop by Five Lakes Creek, it's in the vicinity of McKinstry Trail, and don't leave McKinstry Trail without first paying a visit to Mineral Springs.
