California hiking trails - McKinley Firebreak, San Bernardino Mountains, San Bernardino County

   
  California has so much to offer nature lovers. Going for a walk here in California is something that is always fun to do. There are hiking trails all over California, and one of those is McKinley Firebreak in San Bernardino County. Even though this is not a very long backcountry trail it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently
    at different elevations. Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. There are numerous hiking trails in California, and each one is different from the others. At McKinley Firebreak you don’t see much
rainfall; January is when you get the most rain here while July is commonly the driest month. McKinley Firebreak has a total elevation difference of 2,228 feet, and that is about average. McKinley Firebreak has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. McKinley Firebreak is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail good for the average walker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and McKinley Firebreak in San Bernardino County, California  
is the fresh air at its best. Summer brings highs in the 90's to McKinley Firebreak, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at McKinley Firebreak are in the 40's. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. McKinley Firebreak is not very near Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario at all, but backcountry hiking it is always fun. This is just one of a large number of backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Being 3.4 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry hike. These hiking trails here in the San Bernardino Mountains are the best way to enjoy these peaks.

Why not stop by nearby West Fork City Creek if you're here at McKinley Firebreak. There's so much to do here at McKinley Firebreak that you need to camp here for a while, Dogwood Campground is a perfect site for that. Near McKinley Firebreak you stumble on pleasant spots like Cook Canyon; at McKinley Firebreak you always meet someone from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario.
Dynamite Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Bernardino Mountains. If you're here at McKinley Firebreak, you could pop by East Fork City Creek, and McKinley Firebreak is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, San Bernardino Recreation Park is a wonderful local campground.
