is the fresh air at its best. Summer brings highs in the 90's to McKinley Firebreak, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at McKinley Firebreak are in the 40's. This backcountry
walk shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. McKinley Firebreak is not very near Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario at all, but backcountry hiking it is always fun. This is just one of a large number
of backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Being 3.4 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry hike. These hiking trails here in the San Bernardino Mountains are the best way to enjoy these peaks.

Creek if you're here at McKinley Firebreak. There's so much to do here at McKinley Firebreak that you need to camp here for a while, Dogwood Campground is a perfect site for that. Near McKinley Firebreak you stumble on pleasant spots like Cook Canyon; at McKinley Firebreak you
always meet someone from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario. Dynamite Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Bernardino Mountains. If you're here at McKinley Firebreak, you could pop by East Fork City Creek, and McKinley Firebreak is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, San Bernardino Recreation Park is a wonderful local campground.
